St. Aidan's Library
The Library at St Aidan’s was fully re-furbished in 2009.
It is a popular, quiet space in the college.
All students are automatically registered as readers from the moment they enroll at St Aidan’s.
Classes are brought to the library once a week to read and use the library’s facilities.
Every effort is made to provide a wide range of reading material to satisfy all interests.
Students are surveyed regularly to ascertain desirable titles when new books are being purchased.
The Library employs an electronic bar-coding system which ensures an accurate and efficient system.
The Library provides a friendly, welcoming space where students can enjoy a little bit of time out.
Exhibitions and projects are regularly displayed in the library.
The library is also the focal point for many of our whole school literacy initiatives such as paired reading, word millionaire, book in the bag, blind date with a book and book club.
