• Completed 3 year degree in Primary School Education in Mary Immaculate College, Limerick.
• Completed Diploma in Primary Education with 4th class in Buttevant.
Achievements/Current Employment:
• Worked in Charleville and Buttevant for two years.
• Currently working in St Marie’s of the Isle in Cork city.

• Meeting so many friends.
• Playing GAA in the school supported by Mr Savage
• Getting a good Leaving Cert which enabled me to become a Primary School Teacher.
• Getting on well with so many dedicated teachers.

• Currently employed as Pharmacovigilance Assessor in the Irish Medicines Board (since 2011).

Name: Alan Corbett | Leaving Cert Year: 2002
Postgraduate Qualification Details:
• BA Graphic Design Cork IT
• HDip Crawford Art College
• MA Children’s Book Illustration Cambridge School of Art
Achievements/Current Employment:
• Wrote and illustrated the comic book/graphic novel ‘Ghost of Shandon’ (Published by Onstream publishing).
• Exhibited illustrations in Cork, Dublin, London and Cambridge.
• 2012 Won Best Independent Comic Writer Award (Irish Comic Awards)
• Illustration work has been commissioned by Cork Community Art Link, Cork Opera House and Cork City Council.
• Self employed as an illustrator, writer, Art teacher, graphic designer and Assistant Editor.
Positive Memories of St Aidan’s:
• Loved the freedom to be creative in St Aidan’s.
• Especially enjoyed Art class (Ms Muldoon) and English class (Ms Desmond).
• History class was also quite inspiring (Mr Cotter)
• Elected Pupil’s President during Transition Year which gave invaluable confidence in public speaking and being responsible for my actions.
